Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Languages

The journal Futuri accepts article submissions in both Italian and English.

2. Citations and Bibliography

For articles written in English, authors must follow the APA Style 7 guidelines for citations and references.

Within the body of the text, quotation marks should be standard double quotation marks (" ") for English-language articles (as opposed to Italian guillemets « »).

3. Article Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc) or a compatible format to the journal’s editorial office.

English-language articles should include:

  • A brief author bio-bibliography.

  • An abstract written in English, approximately 1,000 characters long.

(Although the guidelines require an English abstract for all submissions, this is especially important for English-language articles.)

4. Images and Figures

If the article contains images, they should be submitted separately in .jpeg or .png format with high resolution, and an additional document must list the captions and sources for each image.

5. Peer Review Process

All articles — including those in English — are evaluated by the Scientific Committee and external referees.
