Abstract

In the perspective of a progressive and synergistic integration between human activity and that of machines, set within the context of an imminent industrial revolution of automation and the neoliberal socioeconomic system, the issue of merit cannot be ignored. Its conceptual foundation, legitimacy, and the actual consequences that its valorization would bring not only professionally and institutionally but also socially and culturally in praxis, must be addressed.
