Abstract
The article argues for a shift towards real economy-driven policies in Europe, emphasizing the need for macroeconomic strategies targeting employment, poverty alleviation, and inequality reduction. Nationally, the focus should be on non-offshorable productive factors, aiming to emulate the German model, which prioritizes a strong and reliable national system despite higher labor costs. Urgent reforms are needed in taxation to reduce burdens on value creation (income and labor) while shifting the load to activities causing negative externalities (environmental and financial pollution, gambling). Simultaneously, efforts to eliminate the evasion gap with other countries are essential.
