Abstract

Why is anticipatory governance needed? Despite all their differences, most contemporary governments have been shaped by ideas that could have been considered original, innovative, and even revolutionary centuries ago. Meanwhile, science and technology, on the one hand, and people's lives, on the other, have developed considerably. In short, all of this requires the development of a richer understanding of the idea of the future.
