Abstract

The article "Economy for upcoming generations" describes an international roundtable held at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, focused on national and global economic perspectives in the medium and long term. This event was inspired by the essay "Revisiting Keynes: Economic Possibilities for Our Grandchildren," which analyzes John Maynard Keynes' predictions about the world in 2030. The discussion focuses on critically analyzing existing economic paradigms and the importance of developing new conceptions of economic development for future generations. Innovative economic policies are explored, including a new economic order that values sustainability and greater centrality of the individual, along with well-being measurements that go beyond traditional GDP. The crucial role of the private sector and the third sector in promoting the cultural and structural change necessary to address current and future economic challenges is emphasized.
