Abstract
Our collective future will be influenced by national choices, but also by the evolution of European politics and the major agreements necessary to address global crises. The scenarios of the coming years depend on the outcomes of games played on at least three levels: negotiations for global governance, the need to redefine the relationships between states in Europe, and the Italian government's ability to implement essential reforms while restoring confidence to a country impoverished and distrustful. What are the chances of emerging successfully from all three of these challenges?
