Abstract
In a future republic ruled by radical negative utilitarianism, time has been abolished and life endlessly rewound by a vast energy system called the Νoûs. A philosopher and a grieving mother infiltrate the palace to confront the Mechanical President, an automated ruler tasked with calculating the most ethical fate for humanity. Faced with the logic that eliminating suffering may require erasing life itself, they must decide whether the world deserves annihilation or another chance.
