Abstract
If Alan Turing, in 1946, laid the foundations for the realization of the first computational machine, the development in today's digital era of devices with high predictive and self-learning capabilities opens the field to a new terrain of reflection. Can machines truly think? Or is it a matter of establishing the sufficient conditions to give a definition of intelligence? Perhaps the highest degree of explication of artificial intelligence consists in simulating particular capacities connected to specific purposes?
