Abstract

Even though the effects of the planetary crisis have only recently become evident, the international scientific community has been working on the issue for decades, proposing that knowledge should be considered as the key to helping us emerge from the crisis by replacing previous paradigmatic models with a cultural model in line with the needs of the planet’s future. It therefore becomes important to monitor young people’s use of digital technology, both because of its transformative potential and because they increasingly use technology to seek information and acquire knowledge about reality. With this contribution, we therefore ask how digital technology supports young people in the process of building knowledge about the global ecological crisis and plans to implement a model compatible with the development assumptions of future societies.
