Abstract
This article advocates for a new worldview centered around expanding civilization beyond Earth. It emphasizes the importance of space exploration not only for scientific endeavors but also for the advancement of human life. Highlighting the need for Italy to facilitate access to the Near Space, it discusses potential future challenges such as overpopulation and resource scarcity. Proposing the concept of "Space Humanism," akin to the Renaissance, it suggests that space exploration could lead to economic and cultural revolutions, offering millions of new jobs and unprecedented opportunities. The article argues that Italy, with its aerospace expertise, has the potential to lead in this new era of space exploration, particularly in the burgeoning field of space tourism, which could pave the way for routine space access and expand human experiences beyond Earth's confines.
