Abstract
The article explores the sociological analysis of Space by examining popular media such as 1950s/early 1960s cinema and television, highlighting the influence of space science and technology progress on storytelling. Films like "The Day the Earth Stood Still" depict the potential of scientific research and technological innovation, contrasting with the darker aspects of development. Classic movies such as "The Thing from Another World" and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" delve into themes of alien encounters, human understanding, and societal response. Television series like "The Twilight Zone" and "Doctor Who" further explore the unknown, challenging perceptions and offering moral and educational insights. These works collectively emphasize themes of exploration, deeper understanding, existential reflection, and the timeless allure of science fiction in contemporary society.
