Abstract

Human enhancement is still, and more than ever, at the center of attention of the military-industrial complex. Robotic weapons may enable winning a war, but to secure peace, territorial control, namely the presence of flesh-and-blood fighters in conquered areas, remains essential. In other words, there is a growing belief that the evolution of the machine alone is not sufficient. The evolution of the fighter itself, from human to transhuman, is necessary.
