Abstract
Italy's response to the EU's call for broader well-being metrics led to the creation of reports on Fair and Sustainable Well-being (BES) and Urban Well-being (UrBES). These reports provide comprehensive assessments of social, economic, and environmental factors using 134 and 64 indicators respectively. Despite some progress, Italy faces persistent challenges, including economic inequality and declining education and employment rates, particularly in the South. Urgent action is needed to address these issues and promote sustainable development.
