Abstract
This article explores how divergent visions of the future reflect growing global inequalities, contrasting Silicon Valley’s technological optimism with the apocalyptic outlook of marginalized groups. It examines various strategic horizons, while highlighting the work of the Italian Institute for the Future in promoting inclusive, sustainable development. Ultimately, it advocates for a more equitable "alternative horizon" to bridge the gap between elite progress and global survival.
