Abstract
The narratives rooted in Eurocentrism and Westernism that underpinned European modernity have produced relations of material and symbolic-cultural dominance whose effects are not yet exhausted and which, in an atmosphere of uncertainty and precariousness, intersect with security-driven and nationalist impulses. However, in the texts of migrant authors, a universe of new, counter-hegemonic meaning can be found, potentially capable of generating a shift in imagination, essential for envisioning the future.
