Abstract
The article discusses the conceptual origin of "technoethics," a discipline that explores the ethics of technology. It introduces the term in 1974 with the philosopher Mario Bunge, highlighting the increasing role of engineers in considering the moral aspects of technologies. It proposes interdisciplinary engagement to address complex ethical challenges. Bunge's secular perspective is favored over the initial Christian perspective, underscoring the growing importance of "technoethics" in contemporary ethical debates.
