Abstract
"With the Anthropocene, we have created a new ecosystem, where the technosphere overlays the biosphere, and human life depends on both components, over which we have no full control. In particular, the technosphere includes a silicon-based intelligence that could usher in a new and revisited stage of the Anthropocene, but with a twist: humans are no longer at the top."
