Abstract
The rise of new inequalities, the disruptive impact of digital technologies, and the negative narrative of the future are eroding the foundations of legitimacy of the system constituted by the intersection of market economy, social protection, and representative democracy. These are enormous problems, and finding the answers is not easy.
