Abstract
In a changing reality, new words emerge: the shift to the 'onlife' has accelerated this process, leading, for example, to the proliferation of neologisms. Despite its vulnerabilities, Italian has managed to adapt to new media, with fascinating effects to observe, provided one has sufficiently broad perspectives. For the future, we should worry less about language changes and focus more on educating citizens who have access to the cognitive complexity of contemporary society and possess the tools to effectively communicate this complexity. Language will benefit as a result.
